<p>A few days ago the &#8216;noids and I <a href="http://twitter.com/superhumanoids/status/6480170358">both</a> <a href="http://twitter.com/eligunnjones/status/6479170651">twittered</a> about this eccentric little Animated Web Series That Could over at <a href="http://www.ifc.com/">IFC.com</a>. But, in case you&#8217;re not the microblogging type (but are the regular blogging type? I&#8217;d guess very few of those people exist), this small, engaging project is definitely worth your eight minutes.</p>
<p>Comic book artist Dash Shaw (previously responsible for 2008&#8242;s Fantagraphics delight <em>Bottomless Belly Button</em>) also released <em>Unclothed Man </em>via <a href="http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&#038;flypage=shop.flypage&#038;product_id=1636&#038;category_id=521&#038;manufacturer_id=0&#038;option=com_virtuemart&#038;Itemid=62">Fantagraphics</a> this month. Disparate animation styles and simple, hand drawn production value is the perfect vessel for a world where future-artists hone their still life sketches on rigid, unmoving droids. Our hero, Rebel X-6, is no droid. Defiance works best when you start small, I suppose.</p>
<p>Embedded is the first installment (watch the rest <a href="http://www.ifc.com/unclothed-man-in-the-35th-century-ad/episode-guide.php">here</a>), but the second and third chapters are my true favorites. That&#8217;s what we call a &#8220;hook&#8221; in the biz (what biz?): </p>
