This new Dilla track just showed up online and it is dope as expected. Pretty reserved - sounds like it was probably just a demo - but even in rough form Dilla is better than 99.9% of producers. The other track is one of my favorite Dilla beats of all time that I’ve been meaning to get up for a while now. The kick is mapped with the bass line and it is so rugged I have to wipe the dirt off my face every time I listen to it.

I love Outkast and every incarnation that as arisen from their quasi-fallen ashes. I am admittedly much more partial to Andre 3000 , but if you compare what he did this week to what Big Boi did, I have to nod my head to the other side of the coin this time:
Big Boi: “Something’s Gotta Give (Feat. Mary J Blige)”

Radiohead’s new video for “House of Cards” has been blogged to hell, but Peter at Create Digital Motion hits the nail on the head with why this is so cool - open-source software used to distribute the video and CC licensing the code so it is free to use under specific conditions.
Yes, it is also cool that it was shot on lazers and that it is beautiful and creepy and emotive.
It is things like this that make me miss Seattle - this wouldn’t happen anywhere else:
This is one of the best dunks I saw last year:
