The most epic film I have seen in ages. I’m seeing it again today in IMAX. A great review here and this guy says it perfectly:
This is Chinatown and Heat rolled into one.

I’ve been watching Euro 2008 as much as I can and every time I see this clip I get goosebumps. Doesn’t hurt that I love Arsenal and am pretty into the Netherlands. Hadn’t seen the full version before - it is even better than the one on TV:
This is one of the weirdest, but most enjoyable, short films I have seen in a while. Garret showed it to me over pizza and beer while we were waiting to go out and it left me feeling very uncomfortable in the best way possible, like I stumbled upon some home-made film by some kids [...]
New movie staring Zach Galifianakis. Looks amazing. People explode when they get too stressed. Great premise. Via sneakmove:

GRADUATION ALBUM LISTENING EXPERIENCE PT. 6 - FLASHING LIGHTS from kwest on Vimeo.
This song is featured prominently in Darjeeling Limited, which I really enjoyed and thought was a great showing from Wes Anderson (despite most of my friends thinking it was trite). Found when pouring through my del.icio.us, which I just set up to do daily posts.
I’ve been waiting for this since the album came out. Easily the best song off of Graduation. Directed by Spike Jonze. So outrageous.

When I first saw the film, it wasn’t really available on DVD (although I tried to get it off some out of print collection and its now available through Criterion) but Garret’s post [...]
I just saw Juno and it was great. I really appreciated the character construction and normalcy in emotional range. Film and TV tend to over dramatize (which in turn affects how we as a society relate to one another) and it was nice to see a film that pulled in the opposite direction. The acting [...]
I saw Control last night. It was really phenomenal - very harrowing. I didn’t quite know what to think when leaving the theater, but the film really marinated in my mind and has pushed my thinking in a variety of unexpected ways. Ian Curtis has an incredibly fascinating story. My love of Joy Division should [...]
