There are a ton of things that I’ve been trying to save and post, but I’m just gonna round them up here with a little commentary and be done with it. I gotta de-clutter my firefox:
- Lykke Li: “Little Bit (Loving Hands Remix)” MP3 - This remix is from DFA’s Tim Goldsworthy and it is a great sound for one of my favorite tracks of last year. Perfect production value.
- DJ Wonder’s Issac Hayes Mix - Issac Hayes pretty much got me into soul music and subsequently hip-hop, so I have to pay respects to the deceased. This is a super dope mix that has original tunes and also some great hip-hop tracks that sample Hayes.
- Kanye West: “Champion” VIDEO - This video is actually fun, which I think is something somewhat remarkable from someone who takes himself so seriously as an artist.
- Jay-Z “Jockin’ Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)” MP3 - The Blueprint: 3 produced by Kanye West is all you need to know. Amazing.
- Obi Best: “Nothing Can Come Between Us” MP3 - Formerly Colorforms, I’m looking forward to catching Obi Best this Sunday in LA. I’ll follow p more next week but for right now this reminds me of a bit more synth heavy St. Vincent.
- David Byrne and Brian Eno: “Strange Overtones” MP3 - This song is outrageously catchy for two guys who, while amazing, were relevant over 25 years ago. Very impressed.
