WriteRoom is the best application I have ever got for my computer. I don’t do a ton of writing, but when I do, it has helped me bang out whatever I need to get done a lot faster and with more cohesion. Completely blocks out all other applications (email, im, rss, etc.) and lets your brain focus. Try the trial - I did on a whim and just bought a license.
