Kanye West: “Stronger” Video

I love Kanye West - I think his production is great and I’m actually not that opposed to his lyrical skills. That said, I think his newest track, “Stronger“, is pretty boring, even if it does sample Daft Punk. It is just sooo slow. It coulda been a banger! Oh well, this video for it that found its way on to the web today makes up for it a bit by being absolutely ridiculous.

what production? looping classic soul tracks like “home is where the hatred is” by gil scott-heron or “move on up” by curtis mayfield and changing very little if anything? fuck that.

to each his own i suppose. all i know is that when i hear a kanye west song, it usually makes my head wanna bounce. i don’t care how difficult it was to produce. yes, im saying the end justifies the means.

i’d rather just listen to the original. i used to like him more but then i realized that he was just using the same formula over and over again. and i was never that big a fan of his lyrics or his delivery myself. they just seem really unpolished and amatuerish to me. just my opinion. i admire that he’s willing to talk about shit a lot of people won’t talk about, i just wish he wasn’t such an arrogant dick about it.
